About QPR Suicide Prevention Training

In recognition of Suicide Awareness & Prevention Month, NAMI Fox Valley invites you to participate in one of our upcoming QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Trainings. These life-saving trainings provide participants with the knowledge and skills to recognize the warning signs of suicide and take steps to connect someone in crisis with help.

QPR is a simple yet powerful prevention method, often compared to CPR or the Heimlich Maneuver, that anyone can learn. In just over an hour, participants will learn how to question someone about suicidal thoughts, persuade them to seek support, and refer them to the appropriate resources. This evidence-based training is designed to equip everyday people with the tools to offer hope and help save lives.

This training is ideal for community members, professionals, students, family members, and anyone who wants to play a role in suicide prevention.

For questions or more information, please contact us NAMI Fox Valley's Outreach Program Director, Megan Zimmerman, at mzimmerman@namifoxvalley.org.
