It was a beautiful morning in more than one way on Saturday, October 8, when over 350 participants gathered to walk in support of mental health for all at NAMIWalks Fox Valley 2022. Walkers shared fellowship and dedication to cause as they walked the annual 5K, which included an opportunity to stop to pay respects at the Outagamie County Asylum Cemetery.
In the weeks leading up to the Walk, participants showed incredible passion as they raised funds for NAMI Fox Valley’s mental health programs in support of their Walk participation. Thanks to the dedication of participants and sponsors, the Walk exceeded its $100,000 goal, raising over $104,000 to help keep NAMI Fox Valley’s mental health support, education, and outreach programs going and growing in the year ahead!
We are so grateful to each individual who participated in the Walk, whether as a walker, a donor, or a volunteer. They are truly mental health heroes.
Special thanks goes to our awesome sponsors, listed below, for their commitment to NAMI Fox Valley’s mission and for helping to make the event a great success. Special thanks also goes to speaker Ivy Evrard, who shared with attendees about her own mental health journey, and to the quartet from Appleton North High School who performed the National Anthem to kick off the walk.
We’re humbled by all those who stand with us to make mental health a priority and right for all. Scroll down for pictures!
